Thank you all for doing what you do. My son has either rolled or walked every single day he has gone to school at Burlington. Sometimes it would be easier to drop him off on the way to running my errands, but knowing that his rides count towards a school total is a little extra motivation for us. The best days are the days of "bad" weather when we can take time to enjoy our amazing environment in the snow or rescue worms in the rain. The walks to and from school are many times the nicest parts of our day. I feel sorry for the families who don't get this time. Thanks again for a wonderful year!

The Freiker program is really fun because I get to ride my bike to school and so does my brother, and I ride in the snow and the rain every time.

I was receiving complaints about crowded parking at least twice a week last year. Since we implemented this program, we have such high participation that parking is no longer a problem. In addition, it is providing quality time for our families by encouraging them to walk together each day. Great program — I am one of it’s biggest advocates!

I think the program has become habit forming and it ties in so well with other eco-friendly initiatives we currently have in place at Eagle Crest!

Biking to school is fun. But I feel sorry for the kids who live right next to the school because they don't get to ride under the bridge and along the greenway trail. That's the cool way to get to school.

I want to thank you for the wonderful experience of riding to school with my son that the Freiker program has brought to our lives. He learned to ride his bike without training wheels, JUST to join the Freiker program. The time together is special, and a true gift! Thanks!

Our first grader has set a goal for himself. He wants to bike to school everyday this year, and he's not going to let the weather stop him. His passion and determination has been wonderful to watch. His enthusiasm has driven us, as a family, to share his goal and bike with him to school every day. With help from our neighbors, the iconic carpool has morphed into "the bike bus". We trade off every other day with our neighbors to bike our kids to school, which has built strong friendships between the kids and parents alike. Initially we viewed Freiker as a great way to get kids to bike to school, but it has evolved into so much more. It has enabled our kids, and us as parents, to see the importance of health, exercise and community every morning we ride to school.

I would definitely say that Freiker has motivated our students to walk, ride, or skate to school no matter the weather. It has also made it a habit of that will last well beyond Freiker. Our traffic flow is no longer even a problem I need to deal with! Thanks.
