Tricia brings experience as a High School teacher and sports coach, community health educator and practicing professional, and entrepreneur. Tricia has written and published two textbooks on Anatomy and Physiology for use in Massage Therapy Schools. Tricia is active in church programs, coaching and playing community sports, and she is leading the expansion of Boltage in to the schools of Longmont, Colorado.
Leslie is a founder and current board member of the Bikes Belong Coalition, the American bicycle industry's advocacy/lobbying organization, and of the Bikes Belong Foundation, a new 501(c)3 dedicated to bicycle safety and youth cycling. Leslie started and is the CEO of Catalyst Communication, a nationally recognized marketing company serving the bicycle and active outdoor sports sectors. In the late 1990s he helped start Bicycle Colorado, the state's bicycle advocacy organization. Currently, Leslie is also leading the effort along with the City of Boulder and the Boulder Chamber of Commerce to establish the Active Living Business Cluster of 150+ of companies and non-profits in Boulder County.
Vasa brings over 15 years of experience in developing new products and services in the software industry. He was recently the Chief Technologist for the Service division of Sun Microsystems, where he led the automation of services for a $5.1 billion business unit. Prior to that, Vasanthan was with Hewlett Packard and Intergraph. Vasa is currently the founder of software services company iSnapp LLC. Vasa and his wife, Priya, have two children in elementary school and middle school. He enjoys rugby, cycling and international travel.
Dr. Paul Dudley is a family practice physician living in Onawa, IA (near Sioux City). He has been practicing for over 17 years and sees the value and need for a program like Boltage across the country. He is the director of Health and Wellness at the local hospital, which recently received a grant to improve the Presidential Fitness Test scores of elementary age students. The majority of his patients are elderly and he is passionate about finding ways to keep our future generations from having to deal with the complications brought on by obesity and a lack of exercise. He joins the Boltage team in hopes of bringing the medical community on board with this exciting movement. His hobbies include golf, skiing, boating and camping (and Bruce Springsteen). He loves spending time with his wife Kerri and their three children.
Chris is a marketing services executive, a multi-sport enthusiast, and the father of three kids who have participated in the Boltage program. He holds an engineering degree from Iowa State and an MBA from Northwestern, and has held leadership positions at Accenture, Corporate Express, Seurat Company and Fair Isaac Corporation. He and his family have cherished living in Boulder, Colorado since 1999, where they are active in First Presbyterian Church and the public school community.
Leslie Luciano has been Bicycle Sport Shop’s Director of Advocacy for almost three years. She came into this newly created position on Bicycle Sport Shop’s 25th anniversary of doing business in Austin. Leslie works on public policy issues on a local, state, and national level, partnering with advocacy organizations, other industry retailers, and public officials. Leslie sits on the board of the League of Bicycling Voters, KidCommute, and "Please Be Kind to Cyclists." She works closely with SRTS and supports and nurtures KidCommute programs throughout the greater Austin area. Leslie is passionate about her work, and likes to ride all kinds of bikes in all sorts of venues. She is a single mother of 5 kids, all turned happy and safe commuters!
Jon Simms is the President of TeamLogicIT, a networking and computer service company in the San Francisco bay area. Jon has a high tech product development background that spans 30 years at companies such as Sun MicroSystems, Oracle, Sequent Computer Systems and others. Jon has been involved with Boltage for the last three years and has helped to recruit and install seven schools in the bay area. Through his company, TeamLogicIT, he provides free installation of the Boltage ZAP to any of the participating schools in the area. Jon is also an avid cyclist and a board member of the Monta Vista Velo cycling club. His wife Adrienne and his four kids enjoy family camping and hiking trips.
Dr. Cindy Smith is the Education Director for the Potomac Environmental Research and Education Center at George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. She brings her passion for inspiring kids and teachers to learn outdoors. Planting trees, cleaning up streams and getting folks to ride bikes to school and work are just a few of the environmental stewardship projects she promotes. In her 20+ years as an environmental educator, Cindy has observed that kids who routinely travel through their environment, experiencing seasonal changes in nature and weather, are much more likely to become civic-minded adults who feel our environment is worth protecting.
